ABOUT
THE ARTIST |

| I am educated both as
a visual artist and as a conservator of medieval polychrome sculpture and
painting. During the last education I learnt a lot about colour on
3dimensional form. This triggered my interest when I discovered the world of
3d modelling and animation. In 2000 I had the idea to and initiated the
multimedia project "Embryonic":(
http://duerher.anart.no/prosj/embryo_fram.htm ). This was shown at the Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival in 2000.(http://www.ultima.no).
Parts of it has also been shown at Suny New Paltz(New York) in 2002, as
part of an exhibition called "Complexity", dealing with complex systems and
how visual artists contribute creatively in this field (

System Fine Arts Program in Washington DC.(
http://www.complexsys.org/imageGallery.htm ) In 2008 I made a 20 min.HD 3D animation,(machinima),
which was part of the multimedia/dance performamance,
"Mot Himlaleite".(Stavanger European Capital of Culture 2008).(http://www.mothimlaleite.no).The
more than 20 m wide image was projected on to a snowy slope, 600 m above sea
level.Two stacked digital HD (8000 Ansilumenm) Barco projectors were used.
